Who is this for?

This course is for parents, teachers and family who are interested in learning more about Scottish history and culture.

*This session is available in both English and Spanish.

What will you learn?

During this session we will introduce you to the beautiful country of Scotland. We want to show you why Scotland is the Queen’s favourite place on earth and why, when Queen Victoria first visited Edinburgh, she wrote in her diary,

“The view of Edinburgh from the road is quite enchanting: it is, as Albert said, fairy-like and what you would only imagine as a thing to dream of, or see in a picture.”

We will take you on a virtual tour of Edinburgh’s 800-year-old streets, Edinburgh Castle, The Queen’s Royal Yacht Britannia, Loch Ness, St Andrews, and, of course, the beautiful Highlands.

We will also focus on key historical figures who have influenced Scottish history and look at two of the most important Scottish traditions – The Kilt and Hogmanay!
